Wren (Year 3 and Year 4)

Welcome to Wren Class

Teachers - Mrs Morgan (Monday and Tuesday) and Mrs Lemon (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday)

Teaching Assistant - Mrs McEvansoneya

Children should bring into school every day:

  • a labeled drinks bottle.
  • their school reading book and reading record.
  • a waterproof coat.
  • wellies for muddy weather play on the school field.

Please note: all clothes (including coats and shoes) need to be labeled.

PE

  • Monday afternoon and Thursday Morning

Children need to arrive at school in their PE kit. Please ensure hair is tied back and any earrings are removed.

Reading

  • Children will have opportunities throughout the week to read during the school day.
  • We expect the children to read their reading book every day to an adult.
  • We also encourage parents to read chapter books to their children to improve comprehension and enjoyment of reading more complex stories.

Additional learning opportunities outside of the classroom

  • Times Table Rock Stars (TTRS) daily for rapid recall of timestables.
  • Spelling Shed with weekly spellings.
  • Purple Mash - projects and games to enhance children's learning.
  • Oddizzi - an online research engine to provide more information about geographical concepts and places. (message on class dojo for the username and password)
