Maths

In maths, we follow the White Rose scheme of learning which is used to support children's mastery of mathematics. During maths lessons we aim to develop children's fluency using the White Rose questions - as well as other sources. We also aim to develop children's problem-solving ability, by giving them questions with which they have to apply their learning because this builds children's conceptual understanding.

 

We continue practising our times tables using TTRockstars by having 'Battle of the Bands' tournaments between years 5 and 6 on Friday and over the weekend. The highest 3 scorers for both teams receive a certificate as well as the most improved for each year group.
