Handwriting

Handwriting in Years Reception is taught through the rhymes and formation of our Little Wandle Phonic Scheme. We then use the highly structured programme 'Letterjoin'.

By the end of Year Two the children should be developing a cursive style of writing.

'Letterjoin' is an online programme which supports children in the development of their handwriting and letter formation.. It allows the children to refine their handwriting skills and practice these in a fun, interactive manner. We use 'Letterjoin' in school to not only develop children's handwriting but also their reading and spelling ability.
