Spelling

The children will have a set of spellings to learn each week. They will have access to these on Spelling Shed. Should you wish to practise them in other ways, you can find the spelling lists below. The children will then be set spellings on a Thursday and then be tested on them in the following week.

Once we have finished our handwriting unit, we will be able to have the time for spelling lessons too. In the meantime, the children will have to work independently to learn their spellings. Where possible, we will also be able to use them in our handwriting and English lessons.

Spelling Lists

The children have been put into three groups. Year 5, Year 6 and those who have alternative spellings. All spelling themes will be the same each week for each group, but they may have different words to learn. To find the words that they are learning, please click on the link below.
