School Lunches

The office has already ordered packed lunches for the first week of term for all children who qualify for Universal Infant Free School Meals and Free School Meals. If your child is not in either of these groups please make sure you send them to school with a packed lunch for the first week of term. We will use Monday as a precedent for the remaining days of that week, therefore if your child brings in a packed lunch from home on Monday they will need to bring in a packed lunch all week. During the first week of term an email will be sent informing you when ParentPay ordering is available again.

When will we be sent the final information

You will be sent an email on Friday 4th September with the final details. This will confirm start and finish times and any other important information.

Given the normal and many winter coughs that children get and where doctors do not suggest any treatment and given coughs can last several weeks after initial illness. what is the protocol? Is ANY cough a straight send home? Tests after any type of coughing ?

We will be using the Government guidance to inform us and public health England. Any child with a new continuous cough, high temperature or loss or change of taste and smell will be asked to self isolate and test.

Symptoms

The most important symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are recent onset of any of the following:

  • a new continuous cough
  • a high temperature
  • a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia)

For most people, COVID-19 will be a mild illness. However, if you have any of the symptoms above you must stay at home and arrange to have a test to see if you have COVID-19 – go to testing to arrange.

We understand that the school bus will run as usual. Children will come into school when they arrive on the bus.

Will bus children have to follow the stagger start and finish?
